For most of my life, I was a musician — a violinist from age four, an opera singer in my teens, and a teacher for more than twenty years.
Then a decade-long illness no doctor could name took the stage, the teaching, and nearly everything else.
When I began to recover, I found I could still build things of real value — not with an instrument this time, but with my mind.
I didn't lose my instrument. I found one my body can never take from me.
I know clinics and mission-driven organizations from both sides of the front desk — I ran a private-pay clinic's operations, and I was also the patient no one could figure out. So I build the way I once taught: caring more about you and your mission than about the transaction.
